ABOUT US
Dempsey's Bar and Club is celebrating its eighth anniversary as Sheffield's most popular gay venue. Since our launch in 2000 the venue has captured the hearts of Sheffield's LGBT community and continues to attract people of all ages. Located in the city centre, on Hereford Street, just off Moorfoot, we are in easy reach of major bus and rail connections. Our position makes it an ideal night out for students as we are just minutes away from most of the city's student accommodation. Other gay venues have come and gone but Dempsey's continues to be the place to visit. This is because we offer our customers a good night out, at reasonable prices, in a safe and friendly environment. 
THE STAFF
At Dempsey's we pride our staff. We have a team of dedicated people who work hard to make your night an enjoyable one. All our are doorstaff are fully accredited with SIA (Security Industry Authority) and have to be the friendliest on the Sheffield scene. It gets busy at times, but they are experts at making sure you have a good night without fear of trouble.

Our barstaff tend to be with us a long time. With three bars it is quite an operation to man these from midday right through until the early hours. We get to know all our customers and will soon identify your favourite drink. You'll find that the Dempsey's staff like to have a good time and, if they're not dragging up, you might see the famous cabaret shows, when they all take turns to entertain. THREE BARS
During the day our downstairs bar is open for food and drink. The ideal place to chill out whilst shopping. At night both our long bar and cocktail bars are open upstairs from 9pm. These provide a welcome alternative and offer a wide range of beers, spirits and alcopops until we close. Getting served at Dempsey's is never a problem. Of course, we also have loads of space to sit down and spread out.
